John A. Bruce is a strategist, designer, and media maker. His work involves developing ventures and experiences for platforms, programs, and engagement. John has extensive experience in empathetic ethnography and systems-thinking. His engagements range from start-ups, campaigns, and special initiatives, to corporations, government, and international organizations. He recently served as lead strategist to develop the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, and as brand strategist for the start-up The Light Phone. His current research includes: ethnography and the end of life; and new economies based on collectives, design, and identity in mountain communities. He also co-founded the Brooklyn-based design and architecture firm Super-Interesting! with Kian Goh, AIA, LEED. Previously, John worked in Internet content and commerce marketing. He was part of the inaugural team responsible for the launch of Conde Nast's lifestyle websites, and served as Director of Online marketing for Luxlook.com, a luxury fashion ecommerce venture. He spent two decades working in film and television production, serving in a variety of roles. He earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, and an MBA in Sustainable Systems and Business from Pinchot University. John is Assistant Professor and Director of the BBA Program in Strategic Design & Management at Parsons School of Design. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar, and is a Fellow at the Graduate Institute for Design Ethnography and Social Thought at the New School.
Jake Bryant is a versatile strategist who designs high-impact initiatives that elevate sales performance with measurable results in complex markets. His work helps clients understand markets and customers, design systems that foster deep connections, and implement performance incentive programs to ensure results. Jake also serves on advisory boards for a diverse array of early ventures, lending expertise in financial forecasting and business design to help entrepreneurs find paths to sustainable growth and profitability. Jake recently served as a senior strategist with Lenati: Marketing and Sales Strategy. Previously, Jake served in various sales and business development roles in the tech sector, for companies like Tacit Networks, Packeteer, and Expand Networks. He is a licensed corporate sustainability assessor with the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and is certified by Microsoft in the Solution Selling methodology. Jake holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from the Pinchot / Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
Martin Lenon has always been fascinated by his surroundings having lived in the Philippines, Japan, Italy, and the US. His experience being immersed in different cultures has led to his passion and ability to dig deep into user behaviors and recognize opportunities in today's constantly shifting environment. Martin specializes in user research, strategic direction, and brand identity and positioning, and also brings his knowledge of financial modeling and analysis from his prior roles in the financial services and real estate industries. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is currently completing his Masters in Strategic Design & Management at Parsons The New School for Design.
Simón Aguía is an experience, product, and communication designer. Through the lens of human-centered design, his approach to every project combines bottom-up and top-down strategies that create or elevate value for the venture's multiple stakeholders. His past projects have involved interactive, editorial, and strategic design. Simón is currently based in Bogota, Colombia completing his studies in Design at Universidad de los Andes where his work has been recognized multiple times at the university's annual exhibition. His project, Second Skin, was also considered as a finalist for the Lexus Design Award in 2013.
